Kayla Bettencourt

Executive Director at the Victorian

Kayla Bettencourt’s healthcare journey began in 2009 as part of a career shift to support her family. “My mom suggested that I would be a great CNA because of my compassion and empathy, so I listened.”

After completing the CNA program, she worked in skilled nursing facilities and in home care. After about a decade as a CNA, she began to explore other roles throughout the facilities, gaining frontline experience as receptionist, activities assistant, medical credentialing, human resources, and as an executive assistant. Stepping away from the healthcare facility setting for a few years, she worked for a local health department as well as in a Community Health Center, “but I always felt like something was missing. I wanted more than working behind a desk all day – I missed the daily interaction with residents. I wanted to help and support people and came to realize that is my true calling. I began a search for the perfect job, ultimately connecting with Broad Reach about The Victorian.”

Kayla and her family live up-Cape, as her son completes high school, but she’s found her way to the Lower Cape, learning to navigate anew every day!
