The Victorian is our residential setting on the Broad Reach Community of Care campus. Our assisted living at The Victorian offers an attractive option for those wishing to maintain the flexibility of an independent lifestyle, yet may need some assistance. With only 40 suites, The Victorian offers gracious living in an intimate setting. Each of our private suites has a comfortable sitting area, kitchenette, and an emergency alarm system.
Residents at The Victorian enjoy beautifully appointed living rooms, lounges, and a dining room where the executive chef prepares exceptional gourmet meals. The common rooms are perfect for developing relationships and visiting with loved ones. Wide porches and courtyards overlook manicured grounds and deep blue hydrangeas that bloom all summer. For shopping, the charming Main Street of Chatham is just minutes away.
Our pricing remains surprisingly affordable and personalized attention is the heart of The Victorian’s character. Vibrant and comfortable, The Victorian is the ideal choice for many families.

Each of our private suites has a comfortable sitting area, kitchenette, and an emergency alarm system. Respite stays at The Victorian are a simple, all-inclusive solution.
Why Might a Respite Stay be a Good Choice?
- It’s a fully furnished apartment, so you don’t need to bring more than a toothbrush! No packing or furniture to move. Your home in the community remains ready for your return.
- It’s a supportive step in the recovery process, when a little more time before being home alone after hospitalization and rehabilitation will bring a greater sense of confidence and success.
- There are no up-front or move-in fees for respite stays.
- It’s a cost-effective solution to when caregivers must be away – all-inclusive pricing that’s more affordable than checking into a hotel!
How long is a respite stay?
A stay at The Victorian can be anywhere from two weeks up to two months and can be extended!
What’s included in a respite stay?
Included in short-term stay is a fully furnished, beautifully appointed suite, all meals, ADL (activities of daily living) care if applicable, medication management if applicable, housekeeping services, transportation services and a full calendar of activity offerings. You are of course welcome to bring comfort items from home.
What is the cost of a respite stay?
Respite stays are $265 per day for studios and $275 per day for 1- & 2-bedroom apartments. Respite stays are billed upon move in.
Can a respite stay become permanent?
If that turns out best, Whether in your respite stay apartment, or another of your choosing. A respite stay jumps the line of our community wait list and helps us work with you to tailor a move-in that exceeds your expectations.
